Kathmandu. The ruling Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) has started a new campaign to inform citizens regularly about the situation of search, rescue, relief and rehabilitation after the severe floods in Rasuwa and Bhotekoshi areas through daily video bulletins.

The first bulletin was released on Friday evening with the aim of providing official information about the efforts, real data and progress of the three levels of government and security agencies in disaster response.

In the bulletin, 10 days after the flood, the rescue of two technical staff trapped inside the tunnel of the Trishuli 3 'A' hydropower project has been prominently presented. It is said that after the joint security team with the Nepali Army rescued Sanjay Sah from Saptari Tilathi and Kabir Maharjan from Kathmandu safely, there is hope that other citizens trapped inside the tunnel will also be found alive.

In order to deliver true, factual and transparent information to the citizens and to eliminate confusion, keeping in mind the public interest and sensitivity during the disaster, RSWP has clarified that this type of 'update bulletin' will be continuously broadcasted on a daily basis from now on.
