20 August, Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Wittkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner are going to visit Russia and Ukraine. They are going to visit as an effort to end the Russia-Ukraine war.
When asked by reporters about the visit, President Trump said that he is going with a resolution to end the war.
Trump has indicated that the United States has a concrete proposal to end the war, but the details have not been made public, according to the BBC.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed the visit of Witkoff and Kushner.
They are scheduled to reach Moscow on Saturday and hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and reach Kiev on Sunday to meet with Zelensky.
Witkoff and Kushner are active in efforts to promote Russia-Ukraine peace talks on behalf of President Trump.
