The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority has drawn attention to the rumors that massive floods may occur again in Nuwakot and Rasuwa.

Issuing the notice at 8:40 pm on Friday, the authority said that it is in regular contact with the Chinese counterpart and is continuously monitoring the information received. Based on the information received so far, the authority says that there is no possibility of immediate major flooding.

The authority has requested not to panic based on unconfirmed information and rumours. It said that if there is a possibility of flood, a warning will be issued through SMS.
