Kathmandu. The police have arrested three people on the charge of robbery with a sharp weapon.
Those arrested are Rajan Aryal of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 Balaju, Ayush Rai of Solukhumbu and Vishal Lama of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14.
According to District Police Complex Kathmandu, they attacked a person walking on the road in Chandragiri Municipality-4 Chukintol and injured him with a sharp weapon and robbed him of a mobile phone and Rs 3,000 in cash.
The team deputed from Thankot Police Circle arrested them from Chandragiri Municipality-13 Naikap who absconded immediately after the incident. Police Superintendent Dan Bahadur Thapa informed that during the arrest, the police recovered the stolen mobile phone and the homemade weapon used in the incident.
The injured have been sent to Thankot Primary Hospital for treatment. According to the police, the three arrested persons are being investigated by the Kathmandu District Court for the crime of theft and robbery today with an extension of seven days.
