Bardia. 135 people from Bardia have been rescued after the flood that occurred on the 10th of August in Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa. 29 of them have returned home and two are undergoing treatment.
According to Lok Prasad Dhakal, Disaster Focal Person of the District Administration Office, Nandalal Gharti's National Trauma Center of Bansgarhi-2 and Ram Prasad Tharu's University Teaching Hospital of Barbardia-1 are being treated at Maharajganj Kathmandu.
Among those who went to Rasuwa, 73 people from the district are without contact. Gogan Bahadur Hamal, Chief District Officer of Bardia informed that they are continuously coordinating with the chief district officers of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha, Chitwan etc. to search and rescue people who are without contact.
Disaster Focal Person Dhakal informed that 73 people are still without contact due to the flood, including 2 from Gularia Municipality, 12 from Bansgarhi Municipality, 11 from Rajapur Municipality, 22 from Barbardia Municipality, 10 from Thakurbaba Municipality, 1 from Madhuban Municipality, 14 from Geruwa Rural Municipality.
According to the District Administration Office, among those without contact are Power China Hydropower, Upper Trishuli Hydropower, Trishuli Hydropower, Rasuwagadhi Construction Company, Rasuwa Tunnel, mostly as workers. How many people went to work in the flood-affected districts of Rasuwa Lagayat from the district, there is no definite data.
