'Perhaps I too would have drowned in the flood'

Tikaram Pokharel of Syangja feels that if 10th of August was not the day of his examination, he too would have been one of those drowned in the Bhotekoshi flood.

He is Senior Immigration Assistant at Immigration Office Rasuwagadi.

The area where his office is located near the Nepal-China border is the most affected area by the devastating floods that occurred last week along the Nepal-China border.

It was earlier reported that four people, including the head of his office, were missing due to the flood. Later, it was confirmed that the body of Yadav Bhandari, the head of that office, was found in West Nawalparasi.
