Jhapa. The Armed Police Force has installed a 'GoPro Camera' at Kakdbhita, the eastern border of Nepal.

Armed Police Force Nepal No. 2 Gan Headquarters Jhapa has informed that it has installed high-tech 'GoPro Camera' for surveillance of the border area, collection of information and control of criminal activities.

Superintendent of Armed Police Sachin Karmacharya said that he believes that this technology will be useful to make investigations transparent and effective by collecting direct evidence in case of unwanted or criminal incidents.

He informed that currently GAN has put two 'GoPro cameras' into operation. He believes that the use of cameras will help in controlling illegal smuggling, theft and other crimes in the border area.

The technology-friendly and active deployment of the armed police has increased the sense of security among the residents of the border areas, while the local people have been helping the armed police directly to maintain peace and security.
