A special resolution was passed by the House of Representatives on the Rasuwa flood

17 August, Kathmandu. A special resolution has been passed by the House of Representatives regarding the Rasuwa flood. Speaker DP Aryal presented a special proposal in the meeting of the House of Representatives held on Wednesday. Which was unanimously passed by the assembly.

On Wednesday 10th of August, Bhotekoshi Trishuli river was flooded unnecessarily.

Timure, Syafruweshi, Betravati of Rasuwa, Trishuli Bazar and Devighat of Nuwakot have been affected by the flood along Trishuli River coastal areas of Dhading, Chitwan and Gorkha districts.

The bodies of 1,114 people who disappeared in the flood have been found.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 1,114 bodies were found in Rasuwa, 155 in Nuwakot, 59 in Dhading, 348 in Chitwan, 66 in Gorkha, 38 in Tanahun, 217 in Nawalparasi East and 190 in Nawalparasi West.

3 thousand 916 people are without contact. 292 people were injured. So far, 11,993 people have been rescued from flood-affected areas.

Prime Minister Balen also gave a briefing on this situation in the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Balen said that there is no excuse for taking a break because the body is tired at the moment. Man Bhakkandia also said that there is no time to share with each other. And informed about the works done by the government.

Then the leaders of the political parties gave speeches. After the speeches of the leaders, Speaker Aryal presented a special proposal. Which was unanimously passed by the assembly.

On Tuesday, the National Assembly also passed a special resolution on Rasuwa floods.

In that regard, the National Assembly has also recommended the government to work on various issues. In which it has been asked to give priority to rescue, relief, rehabilitation and search for the contactless, free treatment of the injured, scientific dead body management.

In addition, it has been urged to coordinate between governments at all levels in reconstruction, to cooperate with local, civil society, private sector, development partners and the international community and to maintain national unity during disaster management.
