A special pocket area development program has been conducted in all 13 local levels of Kailali under the 'One Local Level Two Product Campaign' and a subsidy of Rs 55 million has been provided in the last financial year.
According to Veterinary Hospital and Animal Services Expert Center, 373 farmers of the district have benefited from the program.
Chandrakant Pant, the head of the center informed that a special pocket area development program has been conducted with the aim of increasing income and connecting more farmers to production by making it easier for farmers to conduct business at the local level.
According to Chief Pant, subsidies have been given through farms, groups and cooperatives for goats, buffaloes, buffaloes and fisheries.
Under the program, 67 goat farms of Chure rural municipality, 10 goat farms of Mohanyal rural municipality, three groups and one cooperative have been given Rs. 40 lakhs, 22 goat farms of Gauriganga municipality have been given Rs.
Similarly, four Bangur Farms of Ghodaghodi Municipality have been given Rs 40 Lakhs, 13 Buffalo Farms of Lamkichuha Municipality Rs 50 Lakhs, seven Buffalo Farms of Tikapur Municipality Rs 50 Lakhs, three Buffalo Farms of Janaki Rural Municipality Rs 40 Lakhs, four Buffalo Farms of Bhajani Municipality Rs 40 Lakhs and Rs 50 Lakhs have been given to 22 Buffalo Farms of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Municipality.
According to the Centre, Rs 40 lakh was provided to three fish farms of Bardagoria rural municipality, Rs 40 lakh to three goat farms of Joshipur rural municipality and Rs 40 lakh to two bangur farms, two groups and one cooperative of Kailari rural municipality.
Under the 'One Local Level Two Products' campaign, one program will be conducted through the Veterinary Hospital and Animal Services Expert Center and the other program will be conducted through the Agricultural Knowledge Center, Chief Pant said.
Likewise, the office has provided subsidies to 21 groups for raising goats and goats at the rate of Rs.
Rs. 950,000 has been provided for additional management of three cow sheds in Kailali under community animal management.
In addition, the Center has informed that 551 farmers of the district who are rearing bulls and cattle have been provided with an incentive amount of Rs. 14 lakh 87 thousand at the rate of Rs.
It is expected that this will help to increase the production and income of farmers along with the expansion of animal husbandry and fishery business at the local level.
