Paro Women's Football Club, consisting of midfielders Saru Limbu and Renuka Nagarkote of the Nepali National Women's Football Team, has become the champion of the Women's National League of Bhutan.

Paro won the league title after four years. Paro sealed the title after Thimphu City FC defeated Royal Thimphu College (RTC) FC 3-1 in the final league match at Chamlimithang on Tuesday.

After defeating RTC in the last match, Paro managed to become the champion by staying at the top position. Before the last game, Paro was at the top with 24 points from 10 games.

A tie was enough to win the title for second-placed RTC with 23 points. However, after losing to Thimphu City in the decisive match at Changlimithang, Paro's way to win the title was opened.

Thimphu City took the early lead in a competitive match. However, RTC equalized in the first half.

In the 11th minute of the game, Holali Ativor scored and gave Thimphu City the lead. However, RTC's Deki Lhajom scored through a header to tie the game 1-1.

After the first half ended in a tie, the second half was expected to be exciting. Both the teams also showed good performances. However, Thimphu scored two more goals.

In the 52nd minute of the game, Ativhor scored a personal second goal. She scored off a pass from Pema Khoden Tshiring to give Thimphu City a 2-1 lead.

Thimphu City then added another goal to secure a 3-1 win. With Thimphu City's victory, RTC's chances of winning the title ended while Paro became champions.

Thimphu City goalkeeper Sangeeta Monger was adjudged Woman of the Match for her outstanding performance in the decisive match. With Paro winning the title, the foreign league was happy for the two stars of Nepali women's football, Saru and Renuka.
